As a Customer Support Engineer at Vercel, you will work directly with our customers to resolve technical issues, develop internal tooling, and engineer solutions that enhance user experience. This is a technical role that demands a strong foundation in frontend development and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Resolve customer technical issues through deep problem analysis and solution development
Troubleshoot and collaborate with internal engineering teams
Create, improve, and own internal tooling for better customer support
Provide guidance internally and externally on Vercel’s platform and frontend technologies
Maintain and improve internal documentation and support processes
Assist Customer Success Managers with enterprise-level client requests
Strong background in frontend development, especially Next.js
Knowledge of modern web architecture, React, serverless computing, cloud technologies, and DNS
Proven experience with incident management, debugging, and customer-focused troubleshooting
Ability to simplify complex concepts and explain technical topics clearly
Experience working in a remote, global team
Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills
Availability for weekend and on-call rotations
Experience with Node.js, backend runtimes, and CDNs
Understanding of caching techniques
Working with monorepos or complex CI/CD pipelines
