About the Role

We are seeking talented engineers to join our Indian Web Isolation team. You will be responsible for enhancing and supporting our cutting-edge remote browser technology across desktop and mobile platforms, serving millions of users on Menlo's global cloud.

This role involves working on areas such as Chromium internals, networking, video/audio, advanced HTML5 features, containerization, load balancing, and scaling, all with a strong focus on security. We encourage candidates with deep systems-level experience in non-browser technologies to apply if they feel their skills can adapt to new challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain remote browser technology for desktop and mobile platforms.
• Contribute to challenging projects such as Chromium internals, containerization, networking, and high-performance HTML5 features.
• Collaborate with a highly experienced and collegial team with a strong design and code review culture.
• Apply innovative solutions to system-level challenges while ensuring top-notch security.
• Maintain a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.

Required Skills and Experience

• 3-6 years of relevant experience in IT roles.
• Proficiency in C++, with excellent coding skills.
• Strong knowledge of Python and JavaScript.
• Solid networking fundamentals.
• Systems-level experience in Linux environments.
• Ability to write clean, concise, and efficient code.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
• BSc or higher degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Skills (Highly Desirable)

• Experience implementing and maintaining features in Chromium or other browser platforms at various layers, including content, core, printer, Skia, and networking.
• Strong knowledge of HTTP security.
• Familiarity with tools such as Twister, HAProxy, Amazon AWS, Google GCP, WebGL, WebRTC, Redis.
