Position: Junior Structural Engineer

Location: Zirakpur, Punjab
Job Type: Full-time
Shift and Timings: Day shift, Monday to Friday
Salary: ₹30,000 - ₹40,000 per month

Job Overview:

Designalytica Pvt. Ltd. is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Junior Structural Engineer. The role involves working on various tasks related to estimations, analysis, drawing updates, and supporting the development of construction projects from small to large scale in a safe, cost-effective, and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, design, develop, and maintain construction projects of various scales.
• Conduct technical and feasibility studies and create drawings that meet technical specifications.
• Follow all regulations and guidelines related to permits, safety, and project documentation.
• Review diagrams, measurements, construction drawings, specifications, plans, and license applications.
• Perform structural and building plan analysis, including load analysis, material calculations, construction methods, and overall design.
• Carry out structural modeling and analysis using codes and standards, as well as structural analysis software.
• Create drawings and assist with the integration of designs by architects/drafters.
• Identify potential project issues that may affect quality, timelines, or budget, and communicate with project managers and responsible engineers.
• Complete tasks within or below the proposed billable hours.
• Track progress and provide status reports on project development.
• Work independently as well as collaborate effectively in teams.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering with 0-2 years of work experience, or a Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Proficiency in structural computations and designs is preferred.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, BIM modeling using Revit, data recording, and analysis software.
• Understanding of concrete and steel design codes, including working pressure and strength-based design.
• Knowledge of structural glass and interlayer design.
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to interact effectively with project team members.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking effectively.
• A strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Good to Have:

• Experience with International Building Codes and American Standards such as ASCE7-16, AISC steel manual, ACI318-14 concrete code, NDS2018 wood code, ADM 2015 aluminum design manual, etc.
• Basic knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD (knowledge of SolidWorks is a plus).
• Strong project management skills, including planning, prioritizing, and following up on tasks.
• Experience working under tight deadlines and with multiple projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.
• Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and manage tasks effectively.
• A proactive attitude toward developing processes and expanding client bases.
• Interest in conducting research to gather information and provide solutions.
