Job Description – Senior Mechanical Engineer (HVAC Design)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in HVAC Design to join our team. This role involves leading the engineering, design, and modification of mechanical systems, piping, vessels, and HVAC solutions across diverse projects.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Mechanical Engineering & Design

• Lead HVAC system design for commercial, residential, data centers, and infrastructure projects.
• Provide specialized technical input and optimize safe, sustainable, and ethical solutions.
• Develop design procedures to enhance work quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, CIBSE, NFPA standards.

✅ Project Leadership & Collaboration

• Act as a technical advisor for the team and collaborate with interdisciplinary departments.
• Conduct design reviews and develop construction cost estimates.
• Work closely with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Independently lead discussions with clients and make key design decisions.

✅ Technical Excellence & Quality Control

• Perform quality control reviews of design calculations and drawings.
• Prepare technical specifications and engineering budgets.
• Ensure efficient problem-solving and apply critical thinking to complex challenges.
• Leverage AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks for engineering design.

✅ Leadership & Team Development

• Guide and mentor junior engineers in HVAC and mechanical design.
• Assist in the coordination and execution of mechanical engineering projects.
• Maintain continuous learning and knowledge expansion within the field.

Qualifications & Skills

???? Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (minimum 10 years of experience).

???? Technical Expertise:

• Strong background in HVAC system design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE, CIBSE, NFPA codes and standards.
• Experience in mechanical, piping, and HVAC design across various geographies (USA, Canada, ANZ).

• Experience in cost estimation and project budgeting.
