Job Title: CPU Verification Engineer

Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka

Job Overview

Are you an experienced engineer looking for the ultimate verification challenges? Verifying ARM processors requires developing a deep understanding of both the architectural big picture and the detailed execution level.

As a CPU Verification Engineer, you will work closely with designers to ensure the thorough validation of various design features. This role involves applying hardware and software skills to verification tasks while developing specialized expertise in CPU architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strong technical contributions to project teams, ensuring high-quality ARM CPU designs.
• Execute CPU design verification, focusing on stress testing and bug hunting to enhance design quality.
• Organize and communicate effectively through planning, reviews, updates, and team discussions.
• Collaborate with teams to meet project timelines and contribute to project planning with appropriate inputs.
• Design and develop verification testbenches and components for effective validation.
• Maintain a strong understanding of company processes and adhere to established standards and methodologies.
• Optimize verification tools and techniques, while mentoring and guiding junior engineers for career development.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a CPU, IP, or SoC product development environment.
• Expertise in design verification methodologies, including test plan creation, testbench development, and metric-driven verification.
• Experience verifying processors using Assembly Language or C/C++.
• Familiarity with Chip or SoC architecture and microarchitecture, preferably ARM processors and ARM-based systems.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Strong understanding of CPU architecture and microarchitecture models.
• Experience working with ARM-based system designs and memory hierarchy.
• Proficiency in hardware description languages like Verilog.
• Experience with Verification Languages such as SystemVerilog.
• Knowledge of assembly language, C/C++, Perl, and Python.
• Familiarity with power-aware verification techniques.
