Job Opportunity: Execution Specialist – Arm Solutions Engineering

About the Role

As an Execution Specialist in Arm’s Solutions Engineering group, you won’t just be working on complex CPUs, GPUs, and SoCs—you’ll be shaping the future of chip design methodologies.

At Arm, our work extends across multiple domains, focusing on power optimization, performance enhancement, and system integration. We also develop cutting-edge design workflows, influence Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools, and build the knowledge base that enables the design of custom SoCs, CPUs, and GPUs.

This role is critical in developing comprehensive performance and analysis techniques that impact Arm and its partners globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Synthesis, Physical Design & Implementation: Work on CPU and GPU cores, system interconnects, and other Arm IP at the SoC level.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze timing, area, and power to enhance the quality of Arm IP.
• Methodology Development: Develop and deploy new techniques to improve execution efficiency and results.
• Data Analysis & Mining: Support and develop detailed performance analysis methodologies.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with IP RTL design teams to drive performance and physical design optimizations.
• Innovation & Research: Translate R&D concepts into real-world execution solutions.
• Partner Enablement: Help Arm’s partners achieve best-in-class results.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in ASIC Execution, Physical Design, Static Timing Analysis (STA), and Timing Closure.
• Hands-on expertise in structured clock tree design, power delivery network (PDN) analysis, DFM, and physical verification.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate insights effectively.
• Proven experience in developing silicon execution methodologies and implementing them in global teams.
• Deep understanding of end-to-end IC design flow, from RTL to GDSII.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Tcl, Perl, R, Make, and Shell scripting.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with Arm-based CPUs & SoCs.
• Experience with low-power design techniques (e.g., power gating, voltage/frequency scaling).
• Knowledge of Verilog RTL design.
• Experience with ATPG tools and production testing.
