We are seeking a highly motivated product analyst to join our team. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for analytical and product professionals to be at the intersection of business strategy and big data technology, offering well-rounded experience and development in bringing business and technology together to drive immense business value.

The individual in this role will be responsible for analyzing large datasets, guiding developers, providing production support, conduction root cause analysis and solving abstract problems in a fast paced environment. The individual will also be responsible for overlaying sales and marketing strategic needs with analytics and machine learning workstreams. This individual will work closely with partners across teams such as commercial sales and marketing, analytics and machine learning, American Express Technology and others.

Key responsibilities –

• Use SQL to extract, manipulate and analyze large datasets to derive actionable insights and support decision making processes.
• Provide product management expertise, collaborating with developers to guide the design and implementation of products and solutions.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues and implementing sustainable solutions.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to address business challenges and develop innovative solutions.
• Navigate ambiguity and tackle complex, abstract problems with creativity and analytical rigor.
• Communicate findings, product requirements and technical guidance effectively to stakeholder across levels.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent.
• 0-2 years of experience in developing and working on big data products.
• Expertise in Big Data, Hive, SQL for data extraction, manipulation and analysis.
• Skilled in product management and development lifecycle
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree is preferred
• Familiarity with command line and programming languages such as Java and Python
