Position: Network Planning Analyst

???? Remote Role – Work from anywhere worldwide
???? Reports to: Director of Network Engineering and Operations

The Network Planning Analyst plays a key role in aligning and managing network demand, inventory, and resource availability. This role requires precision, planning, and strategic execution to ensure network performance and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

???? Network Planning & Implementation
✔ Develop and document implementation plans for network upgrades, core functionality, hardware, software, and design changes.
✔ Plan onboarding and integration of new carriers and carrier products.
✔ Oversee network interconnections, ensuring cost-effective and seamless integration.

???? Network Capacity & Resource Management
✔ Monitor network capacity and resources, develop triggers & reports, and create trend-based expansion plans.
✔ Track and maintain inventory for network hardware, licenses, software, circuits, and infrastructure.
✔ Ensure timely replenishment of network resources to prevent exhaustion.

???? Vendor & Operations Support
✔ Maintain vendor contacts, locations, and escalation procedures to facilitate swift issue resolution.
✔ Provide detailed network information to internal teams for insurance, purchasing, provisioning, and support discussions.
✔ Collaborate with internal departments to align network strategy with business needs.

Qualifications & Skills

???? Education & Experience:
✔ 3+ years of network engineering experience in a service provider environment.
✔ Background in financial modeling and vendor negotiations.

???? Technical Expertise:
✔ Strong understanding of network infrastructure – routers, switches, voice platforms, security devices, power systems, OSI layers, transport & transmission, encapsulation, and aggregation methods.
✔ Expertise in data collection, reporting, and trend analysis for network planning.
✔ Proven ability to develop detailed network planning documents outlining tactical and strategic changes.
✔ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills – building complex scaling models for cost and resource management.
