The Technology Control Management Issues, Events & Remediation team ensures the timely identification, response, and resolution of risk events and issues to minimize impact while preventing recurrence through effective remediation and lessons learned.
This role involves collaborating with multiple partners across diverse business units, functional areas, and geographies to embed control management in day-to-day operations.
As a Senior Information Security Analyst, you will manage and enhance operational risk processes by investigating root causes, overseeing remediation, and ensuring compliance with control management frameworks.
Issue Investigation & Root Cause Analysis:
Conduct in-depth root cause analysis and address recurring operational risk issues.
Document and maintain records of issues, events, and remediation efforts.
Remediation Oversight & Execution:
Scope, prioritize, and support the remediation of issues by influencing Business Units (BU).
Oversee the end-to-end remediation process—track progress, validate resolutions, and communicate status updates.
Quality Assurance & Documentation:
Ensure thorough documentation of issue types, urgency, impact analysis, and resolution processes.
Perform quality checks on records and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
Analyze trends in operational risk issues to identify systemic risks and control weaknesses.
Prepare and present detailed reports on issue status and remediation outcomes to senior management.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Engage with business leaders, compliance officers, and regulatory bodies to ensure effective issue resolution.
Foster strong relationships with Technology, Compliance, and Control Management teams.
Continuous Improvement & Best Practices:
Identify and share best practices to enhance operational risk management frameworks.
Embed lessons learned into future processes to improve organizational resilience.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in Operational Risk Management.
Strong background in financial services with expertise in operational risk processes.
Skills & Competencies:
Project Management: Ability to drive cross-functional initiatives and deliver results.
Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to engage with senior leadership.
Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset to identify, analyze, and address risk scenarios.
Process Governance: Proven track record of establishing and overseeing robust decision-making frameworks.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Finance, Business, or Risk Management.
Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MSc) or professional certifications are advantageous.
Technical Expertise:
Experience in at least one of the following areas:
Root Cause Analysis and Operational Risk Issue Remediation.
Quality Assurance and Documentation of Risk Events.
E2E Issue Resolution and embedding accountability.
Previous experience in a technical or cybersecurity role.
