Job Description

Are you experienced in establishing a Cargo Shipping and Transport business vertical and ready to lead and create a business model within an organization? If yes, this could be an excellent opportunity for you.

The role requires the following key responsibilities:

  • Ownership & Leadership:

    • Lead and establish a business vertical, building strong relationships with vendors to serve clients effectively.
    • Must have the responsibility for the business and be capable of driving its growth.
  • Sales Experience:

    • Strong cargo sales experience in air, sea cargo, transportation, and warehousing.
    • Knowledge of both domestic and international networks, as well as relationships with co-loaders, cargo forwarders, NVOCCs, airlines, and transportation lines to purchase the best cargo rates.
  • Business Development:

    • Bring a good client base and build new business opportunities.
    • Define ROI plans and work to meet targets set by the company.
    • Proven track record of meeting sales targets and ROI goals.
  • Team Management:

    • Hire and manage operational and care staff within the dedicated net profit structure.
    • Able to manage sub-contractors and execute all forms of transportation, warehousing, and CHA services.
  • Client Relationships & Problem-Solving:

    • Build and nurture relationships with both domestic and overseas vendors.
    • Responsible for daily sales visits, analysis, and negotiating better pricing with overseas agents and local vendors.
    • Ability to handle RFQs, business negotiations, and ensure smooth client conversion.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Experience:

    • 03 to 05 years of strong sales experience in the cargo forwarding and transportation industry.
    • Proficient in international cargo, transportation, and customs regulations.
  • Skills:

    • Excellent interpersonal skills, team player, and proactive approach.
    • Aggressive and results-oriented with a strong business acumen.
    • Capability to work independently and contribute to business growth while developing their career.
    • Knowledgeable in geographical business strategies, pricing, and costings for services and products.
    • Strong understanding of legal agreements, liabilities, and RFQ handling.
  • Additional Qualities:

    • Problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
    • Ability to manage and recruit staff, train them, and manage performance.
    • Familiar with CRM systems and timely report updates.
    • Ability to use Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and participate in virtual meetings via Zoom/Skype.
    • Proven history in managing large clients, RFQs, and offers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Business Growth:

    • Generate business and oversee complete execution from start to finish.
    • Drive international and domestic vendor relationships and ensure business growth.
    • Regular sales visits and progress analysis.
    • Pricing negotiations and ensuring profitability.
  • Team Leadership & Operations:

    • Recruit, train, evaluate, and manage sales staff.
    • Set clear sales goals and performance evaluations.
    • Ensure compliance with operational processes, client execution, and delivery of value.
    • Assist with collections, billing, and accounts receivables.
  • Reporting & Documentation:

    • Generate timely reports and ensure CRM compliance.
    • Manage and oversee discipline within the workplace.
    • Help with business fundamentals, including marketing, accounting, and partner relationships.
  • Client Engagement:

    • Engage in business discussions and negotiations with clients.
    • Handle large accounts and ensure continued client satisfaction and retention.

Support from Overseas Management

  • Business Setup:

    • Office space, legal, accounting, IT, internet services, and essential support to run the business.
  • Growth Assistance:

    • Help with business fundamentals, networking, marketing, accounting, key partner connections, and regulatory compliance.
