Position: Accommodation Consultant (AC)
The Accommodation Consultant will work directly with employees and senior management to provide workplace accommodations. The AC will serve as the primary contact for employees navigating the accommodation process. This role requires exceptional communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a customer service focus aligned with Amazon’s values.
Key Job Responsibilities
Conduct accommodation reviews to ensure compliance and support employee accommodation requests for safe and productive operations.
Act as a subject matter expert on the accommodation process and state/federal disability laws.
Coordinate the accommodation process and provide end-to-end case management.
Collaborate with stakeholders to determine and finalize accommodation approvals or denials.
Work in partnership with leave case managers.
Communicate accommodation decisions, distribute the Work Accommodation Record (WAR) to employees, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders for implementation.
Educate employees and HR on complex aspects of return-to-work, accommodations, and case processes.
Guide employees to appropriate resources for additional information.
Manage a caseload of up to 120 cases.
Escalate complex issues to Senior Accommodation Consultants as needed.
Maintain system records to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
Provide training to employees, managers, HR, and others in Disability Leave Services (DLS).
Adhere to internal service-level agreements (SLAs) and quality standards.
Consult, coordinate, and collaborate with third-party administrators, HR, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and other departments as necessary.
Participate in various activities and projects within the DLS program.
Ensure regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Travel as necessary (up to 25% of the time).

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
1+ years of case management experience.
1+ years of HR experience.
Experience in investigative case management.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
PHR and/or CPDM certification.
Proficiency in computer operations and database management.
Strong time management and accountability skills.
Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to analyze, solve problems, organize, and manage multiple priorities.
Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and deliver on projects.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Evidence of building strong relationships and influencing others in cross-functional environments.
Experience in providing consultation and training on disability issues.
Excellent customer service and communication skills (both verbal and written).
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, evolving environment with minimal direct supervision.
