Job Title: Database Administrator (MySQL/MongoDB/Redis/ElasticSearch)

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Database Administrator to manage and support MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and ElasticSearch database instances. The ideal candidate will efficiently and independently handle installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup, recovery, security, patching, updates, and high availability tasks.

You will be responsible for resolving moderate to complex incidents, providing automation solutions for manual tasks, performing root cause analysis, and driving long-term fixes. In addition, you will be involved in executing medium to complex projects, major activities, and change requests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Database Management: Efficiently manage and support MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and ElasticSearch database instances.
• Installation & Configuration: Perform installation, setup, and configuration of databases.
• Performance Tuning: Tune databases for optimal performance and efficiency.
• Backup & Recovery: Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Security & Patching: Maintain security controls and apply patches to databases regularly.
• Incident Management: Effectively resolve moderate to complex incidents (P1, P2, and P3) in a timely manner.
• Automation: Provide automation solutions to streamline manual tasks and improve efficiency.
• Production Support: Offer production support and be available for escalations.
• Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes to prevent recurrence.
• Project Execution: Lead and execute medium to complex projects, major activities, and change requests.
• Collaboration: Work effectively within a multicultural team and communicate proactively.
• Mentorship: Coach and guide junior team members.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: 6-10 years of experience in MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and ElasticSearch.
• Database Expertise: Strong database administration skills and the ability to resolve database issues independently.
• Platform Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of Linux/AIX/Windows and related commands and shell scripting.
• High Availability & Replication: Hands-on experience with high availability setups, master-slave replication, and disaster recovery testing.
• Security: Expertise in database export/import, user management, security/encryption, and audit controls.
• Cloud Exposure: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with the latest database technologies and tools.
• Exposure to cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
